STUDYULA • AGE & GUARDIAN CONSENT

Grade 5+ Usage Policy

This policy explains Studyula’s Grade 5+ product scope, why we request date-of-birth and country information, and which parent or guardian processes may apply to minor learners.

Last updated: 24 August 2026

Summary

Studyula’s individual learner experience is designed for Grade 5 and above. Studyula does not use a fixed global age threshold as its product baseline. Parent or guardian consent and other safeguards may apply to minors depending on country, legal basis and the feature being used.

1. Education level

Studyula’s product starting point for individual learners is Grade 5. Local guardian-consent, data-protection and child-safety rules continue to apply to minors.

2. Why do we ask for date of birth?

Date of birth helps us determine whether the minimum-age requirement is met and whether age-related safeguards or guardian consent may be needed. It is processed as personal data under the Privacy Policy and is not intended for advertising targeting.

3. Minor learners

Studyula does not define product eligibility through a fixed global age threshold. Where applicable law requires guardian consent or additional protection for a minor learner, Studyula may require that process before or during use of relevant features.

4. Guardian-consent processes

Rules differ by country and processing activity, so Studyula may request guardian consent, temporarily limit certain features, show country-specific notices or apply additional verification steps for minor learners where appropriate.

5. Older minor learners

Older minor learners remain subject to any guardian involvement or child-safety requirements imposed by local law or an institution’s lawful policy.

6. Users aged 18 and over

Users aged 18 or older are treated as adult users for Studyula’s age policy. All other Terms, privacy, security and payment rules continue to apply.

7. Why country information matters

Rules for minors’ online services and data-protection consent differ between countries. Studyula may therefore use country information to determine whether additional age-related steps are needed. A mandatory local rule that is stricter than Studyula’s Grade 5+ product scope remains applicable.

8. Parent or guardian consent

Where required, Studyula may record guardian consent for specified processing or features. Guardian consent does not transfer ownership of the learner’s account or automatically provide unrestricted visibility into all private content.

9. Institutions and educational organizations

Schools and other educational organizations that invite users must respect Studyula’s age rule and their own legal duties. Institution invitations do not override mandatory guardian-consent, data-protection or child-safety duties, and institutions may have separate obligations to inform or obtain guardian consent.

10. Accurate age information

Users must enter an accurate date of birth. Deliberately providing false information to bypass age or guardian requirements is prohibited. If a birth date was entered incorrectly, contact support@studyula.com for assistance.

11. Age-verification approach

Studyula may use declared date of birth and reasonable operational or security signals. Additional age-assurance methods may be introduced when legally or operationally necessary, with the aim of minimizing unnecessary collection and retention.

12. Children’s privacy

Personal data of teen users may be processed for service delivery, safety, learning features and legal compliance. The Privacy Policy explains categories of data, purposes, sharing and retention, and the Child Safety Policy provides additional safety rules.

13. Age-based account restrictions

If we reasonably believe an account does not meet the age requirement or a required guardian process has not been completed, we may temporarily restrict the account or affected features. Users may request review through support@studyula.com.

14. Policy updates

This policy may be updated as child-online-safety law or Studyula’s age-assurance tools change. Material updates may be communicated through appropriate channels.

15. Contact

Questions about age requirements, guardian consent or child-account safety can be sent to support@studyula.com.
